Notice Description

Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) announces a Contract Award for the Bridgend Retail Park Active Travel Route. The following is a very brief overview of the requirements:The scheme provides active travel facilities for pedestrians and cyclists along the A48, to expand on the existing active travel network. Footways along the A48 will be widened into shared use facilities with footway and verge reconstruction. Existing puffin crossings will be upgraded to toucan crossings. Works to include vegetation clearance, footway and verge reconstruction, traffic sign and street lighting improvements, and signal crossing improvements.The works are described in detail in The Scope (Appendix 2 to the Agreement).
