Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are looking to commission Independent Authorisation of Blood Transfusion Education and Training for healthcare professionals employed in relevant roles in NHS Wales. The education programme will be a 40-credit course at graduate (6) or postgraduate (7) level in Independent Authorisation of Blood Component Transfusion The education will meet the UK Non Medical Authorisation (NMA) Framework (JPAC 2022) enabling individuals to extend their practice within appropriate professional standards.

Renewal: This contract will be subject to renewal at the discretion of the Contracting Authority. The Contracting Authority may exercise its option to extend for a further three years in three 12-month intervals.
