Hywel Dda Health Board has awarded a contract for the supply of Dell PowerEdge Servers to Glangwili General Hospital which is a rack server being provided to address application performance and acceleration. Due to the demands placed on Health Board servers with increased data consumption, Hywel Dda have looked to develop their portfolio to facilitate enhance performance despite demanding workloads.The solution enables the Health Board to reduce the technical risk posed by out of support platforms and improve patient outcomes. The Shared Business Services (SBS) Digital Workplace Solutions framework agreement (Reference: SBS/19/AB/WAB/9411) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation. This framework included several potential providers who had achieved inclusion on the framework following a qualification process.
