The Welsh Water Elan Trust are seeking to appoint a Contractor to carry out Peatland Restoration Works, funded by Natural Resources Wales in Mid Wales.The project area of Esgair Hengae is within the southern section of the Cambrian Mountains in central Wales. It sits towards the western boundary of the Elan Valley Trust land, surrounded by a large and remote expanse of upland.         "eligibilityCriteria": "Commencement will be by agreement with Elan Valley Trust / NRW staff but is expected to be from first September 2023 with a working window until 28th February 2024. The successful tenderer will present the Elan Valley Trust with copies of all relevant insurance documents. As part of the tender process we require the production of an Outline Method Statement and indicative risk assessments. Prior to the commencement on site the contractor will provide detailed and site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).It will be the responsibility of the contractor to ensure that they have in place a system of emergency communications for staff working on site. In view of the tight timescale there will be no restriction on working hours and weekend working will be permitted. The maintenance of water quality is of paramount importance and every effort will be made by the contractor to eliminate any risk. This should be detailed in the risk assessments. Surface damage to the site and in gaining access to the site will be minimized and mitigation put in place to reduce the footprint. This will include the use of Low ground pressure tracked machinery and bog mats. Again, it is expected that this will be addressed in the risk assessments.",
