Notice Description
Swansea Council has a regeneration scheme to bring dwellings in line with the Welsh Housing Quality Standard requirements. The following document sets out the specification in line with the Client (Swansea Council Housing) Brief. The purpose of the regeneration scheme is to carry out works to upgrade Thermal Value to 47nr. Council owned properties in West Cross, Swansea. Properties within regeneration scheme are tenanted 2/3 Bed semi-detached Properties and 2 storey Flats. External Wall fabric is Traditional Cavity Wall Construction made up of an internal Blockwork Skin, 50mm Cavity and a pebble dashed Blockwork external facade.The following specification is taken from Rehau Windows. We will accept any other system/manufacturer that is equal in specification, as checked by the PM, should the tendering contractor wish to put forward in their tender submission.All properties with external timber doors (not including outhouses) to be replaced with composite doors. All dwelling doorsets are to comply with the following requirements: BS PAS 23-1: 1999 General performance requirements for door assemblies. BS PAS 24-1: 2007 Enhanced security performance requirements for door assemblies.
