The Directorate currently runs a total of 33 procedures on patients within the Cardiothoracic Directorate.The Cardiothoracic Directorate is looking at a way to help provide beneficial information to patients to help explain the procedures they are undertaken through an animated video to provide a full in-depth explanation of the procedure from start to finish - explaining the pros and cons before the procedure actually occurs and what is actually happening as a result of this procedure via each individual step.Overall reducing the risk of any pre-procedure concerns and risk likewise with any post procedure queries.
