We are looking for a dynamic individual or small team to lead a project scoping work to develop a more consistent national approach to pay and career development for social workers within local authorities.You will need to be able to bring a sound knowledge of both social services and Human Resources / Organisational Development and the roles and responsibilities and the range of terms and conditions of qualified Social Workers. The successful candidate will ideally need to have a strategic HR/OD background, a full understanding of employment legislation, specifically as it relates to local authorities, including the process for collective bargaining, and be experienced in working closely with partners in identifying issues and ideas and co-producing realistic and achievable solutions, based on evidence and effective engagement.The commissioned provider will lead this project on behalf of a group of key stakeholders (involved in the evaluation of any submissions), facilitated by the WLGA, identifying and preparing full options appraisals to enable fully informed and evidenced decision-making on next steps and identified preferred options.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=135458.
