Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) have a requirement to improve performance and compassionate care and leadership through team-based working. Affina Team tools provide an evidence-based approach to delivering safe and compassionate care through effective team working and directly aligns with our Workforce Strategy ambitions for Health and Care in Wales. Whilst HEIW have provided to the NHS Wales system a range of compassionate leadership resources and tool through the HEIW Gwella Leadership Portal, there are few evidence-based team resources and support available to support the creation of effective inclusive and compassionate teamworking principles.
