Notice Description

This is a refresh of survey equipment to place our field archaeology research capacity at the forefront of rapidly developing digital techniques including robotic totals stations and survey grade GNSS positioning. Archaeological fieldwork is the cornerstone of research in the discipline and requires systematic geospatial surveying. Advances in technology mean that this refresh in equipment is necessary so that we are at the cutting edge of industry practice and remain competitive. Currently, we have outdated survey equipment to conduct in-field Archaeological research and training. We require a refresh of field survey equipment to bring us in line with current and best practices in the Archaeology profession.The survey equipment must be suitable for all weather fieldwork in the UK in urban and rural environments.To complete the refresh, we require an archaeological equipment pack including the following -Item no. Requirement Quantity1 Archaeological Equipment Pack -* 1 x Leica TS16 Package One-man robotic total station running captivate on instrument & controller.* 1 x Traverse kit for robotic total station (2x prism stations with tripods).* 2 x Leica GS16 GNSS packages running captivate on 1 controller provided as base and rover set (including GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BEIDOU compatibility).* Roaming Sim Card (12-month package) minimum 500MB per month for RTK link to correction service.* Leica Smartnet Educational License for RTK correction service.* Additional accessories and chargers, including full set of batteries and spare batteries, chargers for UK plugs, rugged carry cases, appropriate cleaning equipment (cloths for lenses), weather protection (protective covers).* Hexagon X-pad fusion download/upload and GNSS post-processing module suitable for use with the Leica equipment listed above.* The supplier must have a UK-based point-of-contact for after-sales support.* Equipment operational manuals to be provided (electronic and hard copy).* Necessary updates to software/firmware when they become available from the manufacturers throughout the life of the equipment at no additional cost.1 - pack, as specified in requirement sectionNOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=137737.
