Notice Title
Proc 23 - 228 Gorwelion Newydd Multiply Project
Notice Description
Gorwelion Newydd seeks to procure a single contract to a specialist adult community learning organisation who will support our on going work to continue to build effective relationships with our families and the wider community. As a service we support the county's most vulnerable pupils, it is therefore particularly important that we support the families who require additional support so they can, in turn, support their children.Cook with Us: this will provide support to teach people how to cook, how to plan meals on a budget and how to batch cook to save money.Grow with us: as part of the capital investment in the green space at our Stiwdio Pen y Cae site, we will host sessions that support the development of a community food growing scheme.Create with us: we will offer a variety of creative sessions that will focus on up-cycling and making and mending rather than buying new.Get fit with us: Numeracy will be embedded into a variety of energetic games that will improve people's general fitness, health and mental wellbeing.Play with us: we will offer a variety of school holiday activities to aid transition to a new school/setting over the summer holidays and provide adults with new skills in developing their child's numeracy through play.Learn with us: these sessions will be aimed at the parents/families of children with ALN and will have an emphasis on supporting children with their maths homework for parents who feel they do not have the numeracy skills themselves. These programmes are designed to have a longer-term beneficial impact on the life chances of pupils in the county. We also hope to increase the number of volunteers we have across our sites and we hope these projects will help us to build a cohort of adults who will help with various aspects of our school including a new horticulture area, social events and supporting the children with reading and numeracy
