Notice Description

Hywel Dda Health Board ("HDUHB") has awarded a contract for the provision of a a Snyk Open Source Solution within the Health Board. This contract provides HDUHBs Digital Services Development Team with a solution to analyse code as it is written to identify insecure code writing and facilitate the correction of security flaws within their software. The software solution encourages real-time adjustments to code writing to limit the Health Boards security vulnerabilities and licence issues allowing the Development team to securely write and develop code. Additionally, the real-time assessment of code in the writing phase means the need to continuously analyse the software following release through static penetration tests is removed, which will reduce the development lifecycle. This requirement is essential to ensure the Health Board are managing the Development team's future workload whilst guaranteeing compliance with Cyber Security standards. The National Procurement Service (NPS) IT Products and Services (ii) framework agreement (NPS-ICT-0094-19) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation and provides a compliant route to source software, licencing and cloud services/products including open source or off the shelf, along with associated services, such as design, integration, asset management and training. This framework includes several potential providers who have achieved inclusion on the framework following a qualification process and procurement approached a supplier with links to the Welsh economy.
