Lot Information
North Monmouthshire
The Council has previously procured its milk and dairy products as part of a wider collaborative framework. The Council is however keen to ensure that food procurement aligns with the Councils ambition to be a zero-carbon county and its wider policies for decarbonisation and socially responsible procurement. The Council has also undertaken a review of its supply requirements including lotting, supply chain resilience and distribution and delivery needs which has necessitated a stand-alone procurement process to reflect our revised needs. We have introduced an alternative lotting strategy to enable micro and Small Medium Enterprises to access this procurement process, to increase supply chain resilience for essential commodities and to reflect the distribution requirements and geographic extent of the County.. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is a call for expression of interest regarding the supply and delivery of milk, dairy products, and plant-based alternatives throughout Monmouthshire. Deliveries will be made to individual sites within specified time slots when a member of staff is present to receive the goods.
