Under the Education Act 1996: Section 19."Each local education authority shall make arrangements for the provision of suitable education at school or otherwise than at school for those children of compulsory school age who, by reason of illness, exclusions from school, or otherwise, may not for any period receive suitable education unless such arrangements are made for them"The purpose of this tender is to commission the services of qualified teachers and experienced tutor/tuition service to provide suitable home, on-line teaching for children of compulsory school age who, because of illness or other reasons e.g. exclusions, would otherwise not receive suitable education at school.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
