Summary of the contracting process

The Welsh Government, located at Corporate Procurement Services in Cardiff, is in the planning stage for a tender titled "Welsh Language targeted Speech Language and Communication intervention for children aged 0-5 years." This procurement falls under the services category, particularly focusing on primary and pre-school education services. The tender aims to develop a Welsh Language intervention program targeted at young children to support speech, language, and communication development. Interested suppliers must register their interest by 5pm on Monday, 2nd September 2024, with the project expected to be completed by March 2025, within a budget of £65,000 to £70,000 excluding VAT.

This tender presents a significant growth opportunity for businesses with specialisation in educational services, early childhood development, and language interventions. Companies experienced in delivering evidence-based educational programs, especially those with expertise in speech and language therapy for young children and with the capability to develop materials in Welsh, would be particularly well-suited to compete. The project requires an HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist to ensure quality assurance, making it ideal for organisations with such resources. By participating, businesses can not only contribute to Welsh educational development but also establish a foothold in public sector contracts.
