Notice Description

The current Grounds Maintenance contract for the War Memorial at Queen Street Abertillery is due for renewal.The Council is looking for a company to take on the Grounds Maintenance contract for the next three years (2025 - 2026 - 2027).The quote should cover the following and show the yearly costs. Payments are made by BACS on receipt of invoices after each visit.1. 3-weekly visits to the site per year between April and November to involve grass-cutting, weed control and litter-picking2. The planting of colourful spring/summer/winter bedding plants and fertilising of the planted area. Flowers to be pollinator friendly and in line with the Council's Biodiversity plan. No harmful chemicals or pesticides to be used.3. Summer irrigation as and when required to the flower beds. Please show costs per watering visit.4. Additional work may need to be carried out in the week leading up to the annual Remembrance Sunday service to ensure the grounds are looking their best.
