Notice Description

In order to protect the unique character of Gwynedd's slate communities and surrounding landscpaes, this commission funds a company or organisation to provide accredited courses, and non-accredited informal taster courses in the traditional skills areas below:* Masonry* Lime plastering/rendering* Crawiau / pileri slate fencing* Slate pitching* Stone/slate walling* Gates and posts* Slate carving / slate art* Train-the-trainer coursesNB: provision can be offered in all of the above areas or focus on at least 3 areas in greater depth. The train-the-trainer courses will need to be provided in addition to the minimum of 3 areas as the development of future trainers is an important part of the commission's legacy.
