Notice Title

Supply of a specialist cryomill

Notice Description

This Cryomill required for group analysis of micro and nano polymers / elastomers by PY-GCMS and preparation of environmental / industrial NMP samples for analysis. The cryomill needs to embrittle and mill samples to a five um size facilitating PY-GCMS analysis. The cryomill also enables environmentally sourced macro plastic or tyre particles to be embrittled and milled to a predetermined micron size allowing NMP use in sorption experimentation. The use of environmentally sourced and aged NMP in sorption work is critical to understand the interactions of sorbents with sorbates facilitating successful environmental remediationThe cryomill to be located in the Wallace building on Singleton Campus. The requirement is for a cryomill with the ability to enable environmental plastic and tyre wear particle sample preparation for PY-GCMS analysis. The cryomill will also enable the size reduction of environmental plastic and tyre wear for use in sorption experimentation and post sorption Py-GCMS analysis to determine sorption efficacy.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
