Upgrade of Lighting and Sound Event Equipment at Aberystwyth Arts CentreAberystwyth Arts Centre is a department of Aberystwyth University. It is Wales' largest arts centre and recognised as a 'national flagship for the arts'. It is a Multi-Year Funded Organisation by Arts Council Wales. The Arts Centre holds the ambition to serve not just the College but also the town and the surrounding counties and to act as a bridge between 'town and gown'. The University's long-term commitment to the Arts Centre and to the community in which we are based is something to be celebrated, and it is thanks to that initial vision that the Arts Centre, 50 years on, is able to ensure that the communities of Mid Wales have access to the very best regional, national, and international arts experiences, here in their own locale.As one of the largest venues in Wales and one of the busiest in the UK, we are fortunate to have a range of professional spaces in which to present work including a 900-seater concert hall (Great Hall), 300-seater theatre (Theatr y Werin), and 100-seater studio. This enables us to provide not only a positive experience for visiting companies and artists, but also vitally important opportunities for community groups to present their work in a professional environment in which to learn and be supported by experienced staff.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
