Education with Care Residential (Autism Specific) Services
Notice Description
The Council has a requirement for an education with care residential service (autism specific) for a 46 week, 24/7 service on a single campus, for a child with significant additional support needs. The 46 week placement is required to be provided flexibly within a 52 week service provision availability. It is the Council's intention to develop enhanced provision to meet the child's needs in Orkney in the future, therefore this education with care residential placement is required as an interim measure only. There is an expectation that the Service Provider would work closely with services in Orkney to ensure the success of the child's transition back to Orkney which is anticipated to include a programme of planned return visits to the family home throughout the duration of the contract.
