This tender is for the provision of a Critical Care Information System to be introduced initially in the existing NHS Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and then transferred to the new Hospital. The existing Intensive care Unit is a 6 bedded unit and each bed space has the facility to provide mechanical ventilation, cardiac output monitoring and renal replacement therapy. The new hospital will comprise of a 17 bedded Critical Care Complex unit which will combine all our current critical care beds into one unit. Each bed space must be able to respond to changes in patient numbers and dependency so all HDU beds are provided The successful supplier will be expected to provide the software, implement and support the system, plus provide training to users of the system.
