Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government is currently conducting a tender for a project titled "Mackerel Acoustic Survey North of Scotland." This procurement falls under the services category, focusing on the pelagic fishing industry. The tender involves chartering a fishing vessel of over 55 metres for a 10-day survey, commencing on 14 November 2016, with mobilisations based at Scrabster, Scotland. The deadline for submissions is set for 27 September 2016, which marks the close of the tender period.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses involved in pelagic fishing, particularly those with suitable vessels and requisite certifications. Companies capable of providing large fishing vessels, with a valid UK Fishing Vessel Certificate and Load Line Certificate, are encouraged to participate. Additionally, enterprises focusing on scientific research and quota allocation practices may find this tender particularly beneficial for growth, as it hinges on collaboration with state authorities for sustainable fishery practices.
