Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government is conducting a tender for the "Scottish Health Survey 2018-2021," aimed at procuring services related to this health survey, which is crucial for collecting data on population health in Scotland. This tender has reached the award stage, with the contract signed on 21 September 2017. The procurement process followed an open procedure, which is suitable for a wide range of service providers. The tender covers services in the UK, particularly targeted at organisations with experience in public health research. Key dates include the end of the submission period on 25 April 2017, following which the contract was awarded.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for growth for businesses involved in public health research, data collection, or related services. Companies capable of delivering comprehensive survey methodologies and robust analytical frameworks will find themselves well-positioned to compete. The requirement for bidders to demonstrate a minimum turnover of £2 million and relevant insurance coverage indicates a preference for established firms that can ensure reliability and professionalism in delivering health-related services within a public sector framework.
