Notice Description
LAR is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) whose purpose is to provide homes for private rent to a specified target tenant group at below market rent levels. The principal objective of this procurement is to appoint multiple contractors to a framework for the development of new build residential units on sites owned by or under the control of LAR. The first contract to be called-off under the framework shall be for the construction of 26 flats at the Cockenzie Boat Repair Yard, West Harbour Road, Cockenzie.

LAR is seeking to appoint a number of contractors to a framework for the construction of new build residential units on sites owned by or under control of LAR. The first contract to be called-off under the framework shall be for the construction of 26 new residential flats, as set out in the Invitation To Tender, at a brownfield site at Cockenzie Boat Repair Yard, West Harbour Road, Cockenzie, East Lothian. These flats will then be let by LAR at mid market rent. The call-off contract shall take the form of a design and build contract. The contract shall include the demolition of existing buildings, preparation the site, provision of utilities, and the construction of the development in accordance with the Invitation to Tender and Employer's Requirements.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
