Summary of the contracting process

The East Ayrshire Council is initiating a public procurement process titled "Award of PS/17/09 - Tyre Removal and Disposal," which falls under the Waste Management services category. This tender involves the removal and disposal of approximately 50,000 car tyres from several locations in Cumnock and Muirkirk, with the tender period running from 13 March 2017 to 31 May 2017. The procurement method is through a competitive tendering process, having received three bids, and the award for the contract was signed on 13 March 2017, with an active status.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in waste management, logistics, and disposal services. Companies that can efficiently handle large quantities of waste materials and have experience in compliance with environmental regulations will find this tender well-suited to their capabilities. With its emphasis on responsible tyre disposal, businesses involved in recycling or recovery processes could also see potential growth from this procurement initiative.
