Summary of the contracting process

The Common Services Agency, known as NHS National Services Scotland, is conducting a public procurement process for the supply of Rituximab vials (100mg & 500mg) intended for Health Boards across NHS Scotland. The procurement is in the Award stage, having concluded with a total estimated contract value of £15,300,000. The authority's headquarters is located at Gyle Square, 1 South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh. The open procurement method allows for a broad range of suppliers, with key deadlines including a bid opening on 8th May 2017.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in pharmaceutical supplies, particularly those with accreditation to supply medicines within the UK. Companies that possess a valid UK Marketing Authorisation and meet the required certifications, like BS EN ISO 9001, will be particularly well-suited to participate. The framework agreement allows for a maximum of three suppliers, creating a competitive environment for businesses to establish long-term relationships with public health entities, thus fostering growth in this sector.
