St Peter's Seminary & Kilmahew Estate Redevelopment
Notice Description
This project will redevelop an existing category A listed concrete structure formally known as St Peter's Seminary in Cardross, Argyll and Bute. The building will be restored to create a venue for performance, other artistic events. This space will be fully thermally enclosed and heated, and will incorporate a full recreation of the pyramidal 'ziggurat' roof-light over the alter, and the reinstatement of the original glulam beams and fenestration. Distinctive glazed screening will be re-inserted on the facades. The building will also undergo extensive concrete repairs to restore concrete surfaces within the building. There will also be extensive landscape works including new vehicular access to the site from Carman Road, a 56 space car park bridge resurfacing and repairs, walled garden repairs and associated accommodation and hard and soft landscape works within the boundary of the Seminary complex.
