Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Enterprise has successfully completed the procurement process for the "Award of Low Carbon Energy Project Funding Options Study," a key initiative within the Low Carbon Infrastructure Programme (LCIP). This project aims to facilitate investment in low carbon infrastructure in Scotland, thereby supporting climate change targets and creating employment opportunities in the low carbon sector. The tender was conducted from 22 May 2017 to 31 August 2017, and the award has been granted to QMPF LLP for a contract value of £39,574. The location of the activities is primarily in Scotland, with the initiative benefiting from Scottish Government backing.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the financial consultancy and low carbon sectors. Companies with expertise in project finance, environmental consultancy, and those engaged in sustainable infrastructure development would be particularly well-suited to compete. The focus on investor-ready projects and the range of anticipated project finance of £10 million to £20 million indicates a substantial growth potential for stakeholders involved in the development of low carbon solutions.
