Notice Description
Erection of heritage plaques in KilmarnockEast Ayrshire Council are seeking quotations from contractors to refresh a number of existing heritage plaques in Kilmarnock. It is expected that the successful contractor will -1.Acquire new plaques for a selected number of locations as close as possible to the specification and design of the existing plaques. Artwork for the plaques has already been developed.2.Removal of existing plaques and frames so as not to cause damage to the walls to railings in which the frames are mounted.3.Manufacture and install new plaques and frames with a method of installation which does not cause further damage to the walls or railings in which the frames are mounted.4.Ensure that the replaced plaques are fitted securely with a method which would allow future removal without removal of the frame.Two quotes will be required and reference should be made to the attached map in order to identify the locations.Quote 1 to acquire and replace plaques at locations:1 Laigh Kirk5 Former Bus Station18 Former Corn Exchange48 Old Town BridgeQuote 2 to acquire and replace plaques at locations:7 Former Kilmarnock infirmary23 Robert Muirs Ship32 Holy Trinity Scottish Episcopal+ Church38 Riccarton Churchyard39 Hill of Judgment43 Grave of Jonnie Walker47 Jonnie Walker ShopQuotes should include a delivery and installation timescale and implementation plan.
