The Transit Berthing Facility is part of the Council's wider vision for regeneration as part of the Council CHORD (Campbeltown, Helensburgh, Oban, Rothesay and Dunoon) programme of capital regeneration projects which aim to assist regeneration and economic development in five of its waterfront towns. The facility is currently undergoing construction and is designed to provide alongside berthing for private and commercial leisure vessels. The purpose of this notice is to provide interested parties with advance notice of a competitive process to award a contract to a suitably experienced and capable organisation to run the facility on a concession basis. The Council anticipates that interested parties will be invited to tender an offer comprising an outline business and operating plan to include an offer of an annual access fee at a suitable market rate to secure the rights to operate the facility. The contract duration is likely to be for a period of up to 10 years with appropriate review points to ensure the continued successful operation of the facility.. Parties with an interest in tendering for any future contract may register their interest as directed. Interested parties may include new or existing, marine leisure companies, interested community organisations or consortia of organisations interested in jointly operating the facility.
