The purpose of this procurement is to procure a supply chain specialist to map supply chains and introduce supplier development plans for life and chemical science companies within Scotland.

In response to the Manufacturing Action Plan, Scottish Enterprise will prepare and launch a Supply Chain Excellence programme; with a target of reaching 1000 SME's within 3 years. It is expected that a significant proportion of these companies will subsequently require in-depth supplier development programmes to be carried out in order to achieve a transformational impact on their international competitiveness and productivity. L&CS is recognised as one of the key manufacturing sectors in Scotland, and is part of the MAP "Supply Chain" Theme addressing these wider programme objectives. The successful supplier will be required to map the supply chains of a number of Life and Chemical Science Manufacturing companies whilst also identifying and implementing innovative strategies to bring efficiencies to Scottish Supply Chains.
