This project is required to help realise the aims of the Leven Civic Hub project. Through new and improved infrastructure the project will deliver a large scale transformational change to a site in central Leven (Shorehead & approaches), effectively converting a public carpark into a flexible, multipurpose, pedestrian friendly civic event and gathering space. The works include but are not restricted to:- a) carriageway profile planing, cleaning, regulating and resurfacing; b) laying of new road markings and erection of new traffic sign poles and faces, including lit signs; c) the excavation and disposal or set aside/re-use of existing kerbs and installation of new kerbs; d) footway excavations and reconstruction in block paving on a concrete or DBM base; e) the construction of parking bays in block paving on a concrete or DBM base; f) the replacement of street lighting infrastructure; g) the installation of a power connection; h) the construction of raised concrete block paving/asphalt ramp speed tables; i) the installation of street furniture including bollards; bins; benches; cycle racks; j) the raising/lowering and replacement of existing utilities covers to suit finished works; and k) the installation of road/footway gullies/pipework to connect to the existing drainage system
