Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "Water Ingress Works" is conducted by the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, based in Glasgow, UK. This project falls under the industry category of 'Transport' and has reached the contract award stage. The contractor, Mackenzie Construction Ltd, was awarded the contract valued at £19,315.76, signed on 26 September 2017. The procurement method used was a selective or restricted procedure, where initial qualifications were evaluated before extending invitations for final tender submissions to the top-scoring companies.

This tender presents an opportunity for companies specialising in waterproofing and construction to expand their business, particularly those with experience in subsurface concrete structures. Firms with expertise in project design and construct processes, as well as robust health and safety management, may find this tender beneficial. With specific insurance requirements and a clear evaluation methodology, smaller and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that meet these criteria could thrive by participating in this type of public procurement initiative.
