Notice Description

Shetland Islands Council proposes to provide sacrificial cathodic protection to sheet piled pier faces at Blacksness Pier, Scalloway. The pier faces to be protected cover approximately 520m of berth with a maximum water depth of 6.5m below local chart datum. The piers were built between 1983 and 1995.

Lot 1

The works comprise the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a new sacrificial protection system for the above pier. Cleaning and preparation of the existing sheet piles to receive the new anodes also form part of the works. The system must be designed, installed and commissioned during the current financial year 2017/18.
