UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH

This public procurement record has 1 release in its history.

Summary of the contracting process

The University of Edinburgh recently awarded a contract for the procurement of benchtop sequencing equipment under the open procedure. This initiative, categorised under 'goods', follows the successful completion of the tendering process, with the award dated December 13, 2016. The project is tied to the broader industry category of education and medical research, and it serves the local area of Edinburgh, UK. The contract, valued at £73,542.87, supports the lab's capabilities in conducting small-scale, exploratory projects that enhance the quality of sequencing samples.

This tender provides significant growth opportunities for businesses involved in the supply of medical research equipment, particularly those that specialise in next-generation sequencing technologies. Companies that can deliver high-quality sequencing instruments and support services would be particularly well-suited to engage in future procurement processes initiated by the University of Edinburgh or similar educational institutions. As the demand for advanced medical research equipment continues to rise, participating in this market could lead to fruitful contracts and partnerships within the academia and healthcare sectors.
