Summary of the contracting process

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is currently engaged in a public procurement process titled "Supporting disabled people to participate directly in CRPD Committee consideration of the UK." This project aims to fund participation of disabled individuals in the CRPD Committee’s deliberations on the UK's compliance with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Geneva, scheduled for August 2017. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, and it involves two lots: one addressing needs in England and Wales with a budget of £10,500 and another focused on Scotland with a budget of £4,500. Key deadlines have been established, including a submission deadline that closed on 11 July 2017.

This tender offers a unique opportunity for organisations that advocate for disabled individuals or provide services tailored to this demographic. Companies and non-profits that specialise in disability advocacy, alongside educational and supportive entities, will find this an ideal avenue for expansion. The tender encourages consortia, particularly those already collaborating on similar issues, to submit proposals, fostering an inclusive approach that could lead to impactful engagements in the realm of human rights and equality for disabled people.
