Lot Information

Lot 1

This equipment is required to accurately measure the metal-binding affinities of the proteins of interest to the Horsfall Lab for the duration of Dr Horsfall's EPSRC fellowship. The binding affinities of the proteins being studied are likely to be picomolar or possibly tighter. Therefore the only method available to study such strong binding constants is microscale thermophoresis. As this microscale thermophoresis equipment has been completely developed by NanoTemper, under tight IP protection, it is not available through any other supplier. Furthermore this equipment is not already available within the University, Scotland or the near North of England, as previous sales are focused in the South of England.
