Caerlaverock Castle Augmented Reality Trail App Development
Notice Description
Historic Environment Scotland (HES) Interpretation Unit within the Visitor Experience Team are seeking to commission a multimedia software developer to develop and produce an augmented reality app as part of the interpretative delivery onsite at Caerlaverock Castle plus a further 2 years of support for the app.

Lot 1
The Caerlaverock Castle project involves the creation of a platform-agnostic augmented reality app which will have the facility to allow visitors to collect and interact with a series of animations running along the trail around the old castle. This should also include the ability to access an agreed selection of the animations offsite using a downloadable marker set for members of the public who are not able to visit the site.
Options: Support from developer beyond delivery of app for 2 years to cover updates to ensure compatibility with expected mobile operating system updates.
