Escorting Services for Children and Young People - Scottish Ministers have statutory responsibility for placing and managing children and young people under the age of 16, and those over 16 but under 18 who are subject to a supervision requirement, convicted on indictment by the courts and sentenced to detention. Scottish Ministers also place all persons under the age of 18 who are convicted of murder. -
