Notice Description
The University has been using the 'Harvey' Cardiopulmonary Patient Simulator to teach undergraduate medical students for over 14 years and it has come to the point where we need to replace the current version located in room FU305A in the Chancellor's Building, due to a lack of available spare parts causing maintenance issues.

Under Regulation [Reg 6(4)(b)] of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016, a contracting authority may award a contract without competition based on following justification: Where a change in supplier(s) would mean that the University would have compatibility issues or disproportionate technical difficulties; this procedure can be used to acquire additional deliveries from the original supplier when needed to replace or increase supplies or installations. In this case, the contract or recurrent contract length must not exceed three years, other than in exceptional circumstances.
