Notice Description

Argyll and Bute Council, on behalf of the Argyll and the Isles Culture, Heritage and Arts Assembly (CHArts) is seeking to appoint a company or consortium, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to deliver a development project. This will be achieved through effective collaborative working with a wide range of stakeholders in the cultural sector in Argyll and partners at a national and local level, linking the valuable work they carry out with the current public sector strategies for the sector. This work will require the full engagement from relevant stakeholders and articulate the sector's ambitions for creativity in Argyll. In addition, the project will enable the economic contribution of the arts, heritage, culture and creative industries in Argyll including the potential increase in cultural tourism.

Lot 1

The CHArts Assembly consists of 9 regional hubs covering the mainland and islands in Argyll and Bute. CHArts aims to: Foster collaborative working across the whole CHA sector. Create events and products that are of sufficient quality and scale to be marketable at the highest level. Create an environment that provides sustainability to sole traders and Micro-businesses so they can afford to stay in Argyll and Bute. Be an advocate for the needs and benefits of cultural activity. The Contractor shall be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities which together, comprise the project. The Contractor shall be responsible for delivery of selected activities within the project.

Options: The contract may be extended to deliver additional services subject to separate funding

There was only a single bid returned in relation to the Open Procedure and following our full evaluation we unfortunately did not consider the bid suitable for acceptance. In relation to Regulation 33 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, this meets the requirement detail in 33(1)(a).
