Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves Fife Council, based in Glenrothes, UK, which is soliciting tenders for the "North Fife Local Bus Services" contract covering the period from 13 August 2018 to 16 August 2020, with an option to extend until 15 August 2021. This initiative falls under the services category, primarily targeting local public transport. The tendering process is currently in the award stage, completed on 1 March 2018, and the total value of the contract is approximately GBP 6,540,000. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, allowing for broad participation from interested parties.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly those in the transportation and logistics sectors, to expand their operations and secure a steady stream of revenue. Companies that possess a PSV Operator's Licence and meet the financial and technical criteria outlined in the tender documents are well-positioned to compete. With the potential for additional contracts under the framework agreement, this is an ideal chance for local bus service providers to enhance their market presence and foster growth within the community.
