The Trust wishes to commission Evidence Briefings on Mental Health and Wellbeing for Care Experienced Young People.

1. Work and Outputs 1.1 The Trust requires provision of Evidence Briefings on each of the themes below (see Annexe 1A for further information on each). Applicants may tender for the delivery of one or both of the below themes: a) Explore effective approaches to promoting mental wellbeing and reducing the risk of developing mental health problems for care experienced young people. b) Explore the range of mental health challenges for care experienced young people and effective therapeutic and support approaches. 1.2 One type of output is required for each of the above themes. 1.2.1 Briefings providing a critical overview of key evidence and knowledge gaps, including reference to: - key life stages and transitions including infancy, childhood and young adulthood - human rights and equality - early action and prevention It is anticipated that Evidence Briefings will be in the region of 40-60 pages of A4 (excluding references) though this would be discussed at the time of appointment. 1.3 Evidence Briefings must be written in clear, accessible language and be fully referenced (Harvard-style). 1.4 Applicants may tender for the delivery of one or both Evidence Briefings. We welcome collaborative tenders and to assist this we provide a schedule of organisations that we have directly invited to tender (this tender is also published on the Public Contracts Scotland website). 1.5 The Trust plans to publish the Evidence Briefings and authors will be fully acknowledged.
