Notice Description
NHS Lothian is seeking proposals from bidders to deliver a programme of activities in Midlothian using a community based preventative approach to improve outcomes for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues. Applicants may focus on a specific area, age group or community. The programme of activities should support the following key required outcomes: 1 Social capital and community capacity building. 2 Support and early interventions for children and young people. Applicants are expected to make reference to Getting It Right For Every Midlothian Child plans.

NHS Lothian is seeking proposals from bidders to deliver a programme of activities in Midlothian using a community based preventative approach to improve outcomes for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues. Applicants may focus on a specific area, age group or community. The programme of activities should support the following key required outcomes: 1 Social capital and community capacity building resulting in: - Those working with children and young people having improved skills, knowledge and confidence to support, at a preventive level, those experiencing poor mental health and wellbeing. - Those working with children and young people with poor mental health and wellbeing, having increased knowledge of local services and resources that can support children, young people and their families - Those that work with children and young people being supported to build resilience and awareness of mental health and wellbeing among children and young people 2 Support and early interventions for children and young people resulting in: A small number of children or young people receiving direct, non-clinical support. Applicants may choose to consult with children, young people and parents or carers to inform the development of direct, non-clinical support. Applicants would need to be flexible in their approach to delivering this particular outcome. Applicants are expected to make reference to Getting It Right For Every Midlothian Child plans. This project is part of NHS Lothian's Health Improvement Fund. The Health Improvement Fund exists to fund and support health improvement activities across Lothian. The Fund can be used for a wide range of activities seeking to promote health and prevent ill-health, but should not be used for clinical services (regardless of where those clinical services are delivered).
Renewal: 1 extension of 1 year. Execution of the 1 year extension will be at the sole discretion of NHS Lothian.
