Notice Description
Radiotherapy equipment installed at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, Glasgow, and the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, will reach the end of its recommended life-expectancy and is due for replacement under the Scottish Government's Radiotherapy Capital Equipment Replacement Programme (CERP). This NHS Requirement included the provision for the purchase of the following Products: 3 x Linear Accelerators comprising: 1 x multi (photon/electron) modality and 1 x single (photon) modality at the Beatson, and 1 x multi (photon/electron) modality at the ECC. The implementation of the Products will be undertaken by the Contractor on a "turnkey" basis. An award has been made to one successful Contractor who will act in the role of Prime Contractor for supply of all Products and associated services to the Boards. This means that the successful Contractor shall assume full responsibility for supply of all Products and associated services.

Radiotherapy equipment installed at both the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, located at the Gartnavel General Hospital (the "Beatson") within Greater Glasgow Health Board and the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, located at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh (the "ECC") within Lothian Health Board will reach the end of its recommended life-expectancy and is due for replacement under the Scottish Government's Radiotherapy Capital Equipment Replacement Programme (CERP). This NHS Requirement included the provision for the purchase of the following Products: 3 x Linear Accelerators comprising: 1 x multi (photon/electron) modality and 1 x single (photon) modality at the Beatson, and 1 x multi (photon/electron) modality at the ECC. The implementation of the Products will be undertaken by the Contractor on a "turnkey" basis. An award has been made to one successful Contractor who will act in the role of Prime Contractor for supply of all Products and associated services to the Boards. This means that the successful Contractor shall assume full responsibility for supply of all Products and associated services. The successful Contractor shall solely be responsible for effecting any subcontracting or collaborative arrangements required with other suppliers to allow the successful Contractor to meet this commitment.
