East Renfrewshire Council invites tenders, from suitably qualified contractors to undertake construction of a two lane single carriageway road and associated junctions, footways and cycleway comprising the Balgraystone Road Realignment Project in Barrhead. The project is to be financed through the Glasgow City Region City Deal and the release of funds is subject to acceptance of a Full Business Case (FBC), including the preferred contractor's price, by the City Deal Cabinet. Consideration of the Council's FBC is programmed for 19th January 2018. Assuming agreement to proceed, it is envisaged that the successful bidder will be appointed by 2nd February 2018. All bidders will be advised at this time. Provided that the City Deal Cabinet agrees on 19th January 2018 to the release project funding then the contract award will be made by 2nd February 2018, or sooner if possible. For the avoidance of doubt, from the point of submission by 13th December 2017, all bidders must keep their tender price open and firm until 2nd February 2018.
