C001599 GPN Residential Courses
Notice Description
NHS Education for Scotland has been commissioned by the Primary Care Division within the Scottish Government to manage a significant investment in General Practice Nursing (GPN education). The purpose of this funding is to support GPN role development in line with the Chief Nursing Officer's Transforming Roles programme, enabling nurses to meet the changing health and care needs of Scotland's population. This includes the increasingly complex needs of individuals and communities and increasing demands on primary care services as the balance of care shifts from hospital to the community. In addition, the new General Medical Services contract is likely to impact significantly on the GPN role as part of the multidisciplinary primary care team.

The chosen supplier will be required to provide the service on the 3rd and 4th March 2018.
Renewal: To ensure best value, and to reflect the realities of budget pressures and changing user needs, this tender aims to maximise flexibility in the service arrangements. NES reserve the right to extend this contract into next financial year (March 2019).
