WES PTO Stage Gate (Stage 2 to 3) - External Experts

Notice Description

WES requires up to 3 suitably qualified and experienced individuals to provide technical expertise during the assessment of applications to the stage 2 of the Structural Materials and Manufacturing Processes (SMMP) Programme. The purpose of the SMMP Programme is to investigate whether it is possible to make a step change impact in the Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE) by constructing typical wave energy converter devices from alternative materials. See Scope of Requirements for full details.

Lot 1

Individuals appointed as assessors will be required to: - Provide independent, impartial expert advice; - Independently read and evaluate 10 applications following guidance provided by WES. This will cover both technical and commercial elements; - Attend an evaluation meeting(s) in Inverness, where the applications will be discussed; and, - Provide WES with written and verbal feedback/analysis of applications following completion of the evaluation process.. See Table 2 in the Scope of Requirements and Tender Guidance Notes document for indicative timescales. Additional hours/days may be required due to circumstances outwith WES's control. Additional work is expected to be minimal and would be agreed in advance with WES.
