This public procurement record has 2 releases in its history.

Summary of the contracting process

The Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is conducting a procurement process for the "Stabling Shed Works" project, which involves refurbishing the Broomloan Depot Stabling Shed in Govan, Glasgow. This project falls under the Transport industry category and is currently at the award stage after being initiated through a selective procurement method. The contract, valued at approximately £2,466,816.59, was signed on 23rd May 2018, following an estimated contract award timeline in Spring 2018. The scope of works is crucial, as the facility remains operational during refurbishment and cannot close.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for medium to large businesses, particularly those experienced in construction and refurbishment of transportation facilities, to enhance their portfolios. Companies that can demonstrate strong quality management systems and relevant experience, particularly in working within live operational environments, will be well-positioned to compete. Suppliers must have the financial capacity—showing a minimum annual turnover of £4 million—along with the requisite ISO certifications to participate effectively in this project.
