This is a voluntary ex ante transparency (VEAT) notice. This notice is to indicate that Forth Valley College intends to contract with Capita Business Services the provision of support and maintenance services for UNIT-e, Student Management Information System (MIS). This service has a total cost of GBP 228,275 for 5 years. The contract start date is 1st August 2018. Forth Valley College holds a perpetual licence to access and use UNIT-e and associated software with Capita Business Services. Capita owns and has exclusive rights in respect of all intellectual property rights in the College's current Student MIS and Capita Business Services is, therefore, the only provider able to meet the College's need for continued support and maintenance of the MIS.

Procurement Information

The services can be provided only by a particular provider for reasons that are technical, connected with the protection of exclusive rights and the need to purchase services which cannot be provided separately other than as an addition to the Services originally provided by the supplier. Due to the high costs of a new Student MIS and budget constraints, business continuity can only be maintained with Capita Business Services.
