Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for Composites Characterisation Equipment is being conducted by the University of Strathclyde, located in Glasgow, UK. This process falls under the goods category and is part of the purchasing activities for educational purposes. The tender was initiated on the 9th of February 2018, with a submission deadline set for the 7th of March 2018, while the contract was signed on the 26th of March 2018. The procurement method adopted is an open procedure, allowing a wide participation from potential suppliers, and the award for this contract was successfully given to Netzsch Instruments.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in the supply and installation of advanced characterisation equipment, particularly those with expertise in thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, and dynamic mechanical analysis. Companies that can demonstrate relevant experience and hold the necessary quality assurance certifications are well-positioned to compete. The successful contractor will not only be involved in the installation and commissioning of the required equipment but may also have the potential for further engagements given the University's option to request additional services or supplies in the future.
